Family First for Ryan

by isleofman.com 13th September 2012

Ryan Farquhar admits his world has been turned upside down and he doesn't know what the future holds for him.

Ryan announced his retirement shortly after learning his uncle Trevor Ferguson had lost his life following a crash at the Manx Grand Prix.

Ryan is the most successful road racer in Ireland ever with 199 victories.

He has won 13 times around the Mountain Course - 3 at the T.T. and 10 at the M.G.P..

The 36 year old says it's time to put his family first but the loss of potential prize money from racing will mean a major rethink.

And Farquhar says it's too early to say what will happen to his successful K.M.R. team:-
