More details revealed about Ramsey attack

A woman who was assaulted in Ramsey earlier this month was a 17-year-old from the town, police have revealed.

She was subjected to what officers have called an 'unprovoked' and 'prolonged' attack on Parliament Street, at around 2am on Saturday, September 1.

The teen was subsequently treated for facial injuries as an out-patient at Noble's Hospital.

Ramsey police say they have already spoken to a number of witnesses, but are asking a man who's believed to have seen the attack while out walking his dog to come forward.

Sergeant Kneen says an arrest has been made in connection with the attack, but no charges have been brought as yet, and enquiries are continuing.
