The Manx Missile has struck again.
Mark Cavendish has won today's third stage of the Tour of Britain after crashing in Sunday's opener and losing out to Australian Leigh Howard in a sprint finish yesterday.
Today's 152.6km route from Jedburgh to Dumfries was expected to be too hilly for the sprinters but it did feature a downhill finish.
Cav described his lead-out by Team Sky as "perfect" and "pretty textbook".
He also refered to the reasons why he is looking to quit Team Sky at the end of the season for a team that will be built around him winning stages.
Cav is quoted as saying "I like stage wins, not the general classification."
Tomorrow's stage four goes from Carlisle to Blackpool.
