Depression comes under the spotlight next month

Recovery from depression is going to be the theme of a week of activities in the Isle of Man next month.

With one-in-four people expected to experience some form of mental health problem in their lifetime, the annual World Mental Health Day is aimed at addressing stigma and misinformation.

This year's theme of depression is being used as an opportunity to talk about how people can get better after a diagnosis of depression using a combination of treatments and simple lifestyle changes.

Specialist in Mental Health Promotion Julie Bennion says we can all make a huge difference by just changing our attitudes:
