By-election trial commences

A court case which centres on allegations of election offences has opened at Douglas courthouse.

Much of this morning's proceedings, before Deemster Turner, centred on the difficulties of a case which, its been suggested, could last ten weeks.

John Moss was at the courthouse for Manx Radio this morning and has the following report:
