Baxter beats Craig in End 2 End

by isleofman.com 9th September 2012

Nick Craig's stranglehold on the Sleepwell Hotels End 2 End mountain bike challenge has been broken by one of the Island's top riders.

Elliot Baxter won the near 50-mile race this lunchtime in a time of three hours, eighteen minutes and five seconds, becoming the first man in five years to beat him to the finish line.

Ed Oldham caught up with Elliot at the end.

Nick Craig was second, over eight minutes behind Elliot thanks to a puncture.

He finished the race with no back tyre on his bike.

Edward Perry, the first under-23 rider home, was third, just over two minutes behind Nick.

Rob Sorby was fourth, a further 40 seconds back.
