Shock of the Division Two came in Ramsey, as early pace setters Ramsey Youth Club were beaten 3 – 1 by a Michael side missing four key players. Despite being thin on the ground Michael went one up through a Peter Fisher goal after ten minutes. The game could easily have read differently at half-time but for Michael goalkeeper Will Mitchell’s heroics, who had a sterling performance, making several point blank saves.

Mitchell’s work between the sticks would prove important and only minutes after the restart Kevin Poulman made it 2 – 0 to the underdogs. Shortly after, Ben Drewry would kill the game off making it 3 – 0 to the team who started the day in fifth. Table toppers RYCOB could only manage a consolation in the latter stages of the second half, meaning the northern side would lose their first game of the 2012/13 season.

With Ramsey Youth Centre slipping up, Colby had the chance to go top and two goals through Jack Sneadle saw the side dispatch Ayre comfortably. The result means Colby now go top two points clear of Ramsey Youth Centre on twelve points.

Second shock of the day in Division Two was thanks to Braddan who beat third place Onchan 2 – 0 through a double salvo from Michael Shimmin. Braddan managed to nullify Onchan’s threat, who could not register a shot on target in the second half. An impressive performance from the side who began the day in eleventh.

Douglas & District saw off Pulrose, scoring two and keeping a clean sheet in the process. Due to Douglas Athletic having a free week, D&D now jump from ninth to sixth thanks to a superior goal difference to Malew who leaked five.

Foxdale managed a heroic second half against Malew after going down 2 – 1 at half-time. A four goal second half was too much for Malew who only managed to add one goal through Craig Howard. Foxdale’s three points allows them to jump above Onchan into third whose poor performance against Braddan means they now drop to fourth.

Douglas Royals scored four past bottom of the table Ronaldsway who still seek their first win of the season. Royal’s 4 – 1 win means they are on level points with newcomers Douglas Athletic and share the same goal difference.
