Department pleased with housing comments

by isleofman.com 7th September 2012

The Department of Social Care says it's had an excellent response to its recent Housing Review Consultation.

More than 800 individuals and organisations made their views heard and submitted comments, something Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw says shows it's an area of social policy close to people’s hearts

Director of housing for the department, Debbie Reeve says the submissions showed general support for increasing public sector rents to match the cost of public sector housing provision - even from those who live in public housing
