Inflation falls again

Inflation has fallen on the Island again, to its lowest point since December 2009.

Data from the Treasury shows the Retail Prices Index was 2.1 per cent in August, while the Consumer Prices Index stood at 1.3 per cent, down from 1.4 per cent in July.

The RPI’s annual rate of inflation excluding housing also fell – from 1.5 per cent to 1.4 per cent.
