It's a historic day for Manx education.
As children return to school after the summer holidays for the start of the new academic year, the new St Ninans Lower School at Bemahague has opened its doors for the first time.
The facility, which cost just under ?34 million and took six years to complete, is the last of the Government's large capital projects and will be used by some 650 pupils in years 7 to 9.
Head teacher Andy Fox says it's an amazing day for the children, the school and the Isle of Man
