Church money theft 'contemptible', say police

Police have described the theft of collection money from Maughold Church as “contemptible”.

The cash was taken from a donation box at the entrance of the church between 2pm on Wednesday and 10.45am on Thursday.

Officer say it’s unlikely to be a large sum of money but say it’s a particularly contemptible theft.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
