MHK reassured over EMI unit

A Rushen MHK says he has no doubt the Gansey EMI unit will re-open before Christmas.

On Tuesday, the elderly mentally infirm facility was temporarily shut with all eight patients transferred to a similar operation in Farmhill in Douglas.

Social care bosses have assured relatives the Gansey unit will re-open as soon as more staff are recruited.
