Passports price cut

by isleofman.com 31st August 2012

Passports are coming down in price as the government says new technology mean they’re cheaper to produce.

From Monday it’s ?5 cheaper for adults and ?3 cheaper for children to get a passport from the office in Bucks Road in Douglas.

A standard adult 10-year document will cost ?72.50, while children under 16 will have to pay ?46.00.

Senior External Relations Officer Richard Carter says the reduced fees have come through savings in production which are being passed on to customers.
