The Isle of Man has options when it comes to the future format for GCSEs here.
That's according to co-ordinating adviser for 11-19 education Paul Craine.
The government in England has decided exam boards there should revert to a linear system, ie. one set of exams at the end of two years of study, after using a modular one for the past three years.
That model has been used here too, for the most part.
Mr Craine says schools on the Island, rightly, are being cautious before moving away from the exam boards they have known:
