Health insurance reminder

Check your travel or health insurance before any trips off the Island.

That's the advice from the health service following a recent tragic event for an Island family.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jeff Bennett from Pulrose died suddenly whilst on holiday in Manchester with his daughter.

His family had to raise ?4,500 to arrange to have his body brought back to the Island.

Director of Health Care Delivery on the Island Norman McGregor Edwards says whilst covering re-patriation costs may be the last thing on your mind before setting off on holiday, it's essential that you have the right insurance in place:
