MGP organisers say they're pleased they were able to make an early decision about today's (Monday) racing.
Gale force winds and localised flooding are expected later, so the Classic Grand Prix and Junior Manx Grand Prix will now be held tomorrow (Tuesday).
MGP Press Officer Simon Crellin says an accurate forecast has saved a great deal of time today (audio file attached):
All roads around the course will close at 11.30am on Tuesday - and that includes the Mountain.
But the reschedule is causing some headaches as far as marshal numbers for tomorrow.
As things stand there is a shortfall of between 30 to 40.
Clerk of the Course Phil Taubman is appealing for help.
