GCSE pass rate reaches 99 per cent

There has been something of a mixed bag of GCSE results for the Isle of Man.

The overall A*-G pass rate in the Island's five secondary schools topped 99% for the first time.

But the percentage of A* or A, and A*-C grades were only the fourth-highest on record.

In England there has been controversy over grade boundaries, particularly in English Language.
