by isleofman.com 24th August 2012

Port St Mary lifeboat was launched yesterday evening to go to the aid of small inflatable dinghy which was being blown into rocks.

The alarm was raised around 7.15pm by a member of the public after they saw the dinghy with two teenagers onboard close to the rocks at Gansey.

The inshore lifeboat was launched with a crew of four and they quickly managed to rescue the pair and bring them safely back to shore.

They were reported to be cold and wet but otherwise unharmed.
