Could Peter Kennaugh be in line for a gong after winning Olympic gold?

Every Team GB gold medallist at the Beijing games won an honour, but a row in the UK about possible rationing after a record haul of golds at London 2012 means some people may be left off the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

Chairman of Isle of Man Sport Geoff Karran says he understands the pressure the honours committee faces with so many gold medallists.

But he says Peter Kennaugh is a very deserving competitor:
