Steam Packet passengers visiting the Island during TT 2012 raised over ?13.000 for the Rob Vine Fund.

The charity supplies essential medical and rescue equipment used around the Mountain course.

Director of the Fund Dr David Stevens MBE says the Steam Packet collection is the single biggest contributor to the charity every year and helps with the upkeep of the emergency equipment both on the course and in the rescue helicopters.

The collections are organised by crew members onboard the Ben my Chree and Manannan and have raised around ?180,000 in the last 17 years to help provide the essential equipment used in motorsport events on the Island.
