Young FilmMaker of Mann 2012

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure, Arts Development is pleased to announce the Young FilmMaker of Mann competition 2012.
 
Young FilmMaker of Mann, now in its ninth year, has become an established outlet for young Manx filmmakers to showcase their talent. Entrants must be under the age of 23.
 
Individuals and groups can apply for the competition and the categories are: Comedy, drama, documentary, experimental, music video and animation. Category winners will be awarded £100 and the overall competition winner will receive a trophy and £200. Shortlisted entries will be screened in a showcase event at the Broadway Cinema on Saturday 15th September 2012 as part of the Isle of Man Film Festival being organised by Mannin Shorts.
 
Young FilmMaker of Mann is supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council who have kindly provided the awards.
 
The closing date for entries into both competitions is Monday, 10th September 2012 at 12 noon. Entry forms can be obtained from the Arts Office on 694598, or email iomartscouncil@gov.im and via our website www.iomarts.com.
