Anglers rescued from Calf of Man

by isleofman.com 20th August 2012

Port Erin lifeboat was called into action yesterday to rescue two men trapped on the Calf of Man.

The incident happened at around 4pm as a fundraising event for the RNLI in the village drew to a close.

The lifeboat took a coastguard team across the sound after two anglers climbed down a cliff only to find they couldn’t get back up again.

The men were brought back up safely by the coastguard before the lifeboat returned them to Port Erin.
