The first practice session for this year's Manx Grand Prix is still on schedule to go ahead this evening, despite the problems on the Mountain section of the course.
Clerk of the course Phil Taubman says DOI workers are currently dealing with areas of the road surface which had lifted following yesterdays heavy rain and flooding. This was particularly bad around Keppel Gate.
The work should be completed by lunchtime and it's hoped the Mountain Road can be open to traffic again by 1pm.
Roads around the course are due to close at 5pm with the first bikes away from the Grandstand at 5.20pm.
