Weather problems for transport on Island

The heavy downpours are causing problems for transport today all over the Isle of Man.

The Mountain Road is closed between Ramsey Hairpin and the Bungalow with reports of a landslip.

Severe flooding on the lines has also led to the suspension of services on the Steam Railway between Douglas and Port Erin.

Advice to road users is to drive with great care, Adrian Cowin at the Met Office says the amount of water is unprecendented:
