MGP 2013 Format Good but Debate was Shambles

by isleofman.com 17th August 2012

Regular Manx Grand Prix competitor Bob Farrington believes the compromise proposal for the 2013 event will be broadly welcomed in the paddock.

Next year's meeting will see classic bikes racing over the middle Bank Holiday weekend with modern classes on the following Wednesday and Friday.

Originally Government wanted to reduce the Festival from two weeks to 10 days and make it a T.T. branded classic race event.

Bob Farrington is highly critical of the way the proposals were announced and not surprised there was such widespread opposition:-
