Heavy Rain affecting transport around Island

by isleofman.com 17th August 2012

The heavy downpours are causing problems for transport around the Island.

The Mountain Road is closed between Ramsey Hairpin and the Bungalow with reports of a landslip.

There will be a review of this closure at noon.

Severe flooding on the lines has led to the suspension of services on the Steam Railway between Douglas and Port Erin - a further update is due around now at 11am.

Roads right across the Island are difficult with large areas of standing water so drive with great care.
