Manx students better off than UK

Island education bosses say Manx students will be far better off than their counterparts in the UK as university fees go up to ?9,000 a year.

The changes come into effect this September, with fees set by universities.

But here on the Island university-goers will continue to have their fees paid, and are eligible for grants.

Coordinating advisor for 11 to 19 year olds at the Department of Education Paul Craine says it’ll make a big difference:
