Young kayaker rescued(2)

A young boy had to be rescued yesterday, after the kayak he was in got blown almost two miles out to sea.

Peel lifeboat headed out to Glen Wyllin to find he'd been picked up by the crew of a local crab boat, the 'Manx Cat'.

The warden of the campsite, Mathew Diehl, had also attempted to paddle out.

Both were transferred onto the lifeboat for return to Peel, where a very relieved mother welcomed her son back to dry land.
