Equiom supports Isle of Man Cricket Players

Equiom, the Island’s leading Trust and Corporate Service Provider has recently announced its support for talented local cricketers Garreth Roome and Max Stokoe.

 

Garreth and Max, together with their Island team mates, will travel to Corfu in September to compete in the ICC Europe Twenty20 Competition. The team have been training hard since September under the guidance of coach Gareth Dawson and strength & conditioning trainer Trevor Christian. The squad depart for Corfu on the 2nd September.

 

Equiom’s Managing Director Sheila Dean commented: “ We are very pleased to be in a position to support Garreth and Max. By all accounts the Island team are in a strong position and we wish the team every success in September.”

 

Garreth, who works in Equiom’s Client Accounting Team added: “I am extremely grateful to Equiom for supporting me through paid leave in order to travel to Corfu. The ICC Europe Twenty20 Competition gives the team the opportunity to play against the best teams in Europe.”

 

Max continued: “I am very grateful to Equiom for contributing towards my travelling expenses. If we can reach the final in Corfu then the team will be promoted to the ICC Europe Division 1 Championships and gain support for the Isle of Man Cricket Association’s bid for associate status. Achieving associate status is extremely important for the growth and development of Manx cricket.”
