MEA shops nearing the end

by isleofman.com 11th August 2012

The beginning of the end of an era in Island retailing is approaching.

From Monday, the final two Manx Electricity Authority shops will hold closing down sales.

Earlier this year, it was announced the MEA was to cease retail trading and close its five loss-making shops in Douglas, Ramsey, Castletown, Peel, and Port Erin.

All bar the Ramsey and Douglas units have already shut.
