This Friday 10th and Saturday 11th August sees the return of the Royal Manx Agricultural Show to Knockaloe in Patrick. With dry weather forecast, a good attendance is anticipated. Police and the show organisers have been working together to ensure that travel to and from the show is as easy as possible and in that respect would like to advise people to follow the signs!
 
The main route for traffic attending the show is via the Patrick Road from St Johns and diversion signs are being put in place for people attending from each part of the Island. Signage will direct those attending to public car parking and disabled car parking. Police officers will be on duty to assist with the traffic flow. Equal attention will be given towards the end of the days to get people out of the car parks as quickly as possible. 
 
The main car park is to the Glen Maye side of the show field and, as last year, the popular tractor and trailer shuttle rides will be running around the car parking areas throughout the day dropping off and picking up at the show field gate.
 
For those wishing to take advantage of public transport, the show is fully accessible by bus with a dedicated bus service for the show which will be operating each day at roughly half hourly intervals between Peel, St Johns and the show ground. Buses are also operating between Douglas and the show ground within this period at less frequent intervals. Due to the anticipated heavy volume of traffic, police would ask that persons not attending the show avoid the area where possible.
