The head of the Island’s aircraft registry says he’s pleased with its growth during the economic downturn.
Hartley Elder, the Island’s director of civil aviation, travelled to Beirut to present a laser-etched crystal image of the 500th plane to be registered to its owner.
He says the number of registrations has settled down after an initial flood of interest, and are now rising steadily.
But he says the register’s growth is a tribute to the quality of its offering:
