Cleaner beach hope

The Island's sewerage authority says a new facility could help improve the beaches around the Isle of Man.

Officials have applied for planning permission to develop the Meary Veg Sewage Treatment Works in Santon.

A new sludge import, thickening and storage facility would cater for the entire Island.

Operations manager Bob Wright says our beaches could see a significant improvement:
