DCCL's handling of bus pay row criticised

Union officials have described government’s handling of a dispute with bus drivers over their terms and conditions as, 'out of order'.

Talks between the cash-strapped Department of Community, Culture and Leisure, and Unite will continue on August 20.

But a letter from minister Graham Cregeen, which says drivers’ contracts could be terminated and re-drawn if new terms aren’t agreed, has sparked anger.

Bus drivers' rep Billy Chesnut says it’s no way to conduct industrial relations:
