Postbox goes gold for Kennaugh

by isleofman.com 6th August 2012

If you’re posting a letter in Onchan today, you might be a little surprised by the colour of the postbox.

To celebrate Peter Kennaugh’s gold medal, the post box at Onchan Post Office has been painted gold.

It’s a project Royal Mail has pioneered in the UK, with a postbox in every gold medallist’s home town transformed.

Mike Kelly, the Chief Executive of Isle of Man Post Office says the organisation didn’t want Peter to feel left out.
