Jersey studies Manx parliament

by isleofman.com 1st August 2012

The Isle of Man is welcoming visitors from Jersey’s electoral commission this week as they learn more about our parliamentary system.

A four-strong delegation of States members and officers are researching how the House of Keys, Legislative Council and Tynwald Court work as a system.

They’re developing a strategy for the future composition of the States Assembly and are visiting other parliaments as part of their research.

During their visit, they’ll meet Chief Minister Allan Bell and President of Tynwald Clare Christian.
