Crooked House presents alternative Art classes

by isleofman.com 1st August 2012

In the tradition of Toulouse-Lautrec drinking absinthe at the Moulin Rouge surrounded by showgirls, Crooked House is giving artists the chance to test their creative skills under the influence of cocktails & dancing girls.

We held our Launch Night on 24th July at Fiesta Havana with a selection of artists and ended up with some amazing sketches in a range of styles. Our model for the night was gorgeous burlesque dancer Dee Dee (also modelling for our first official class on 7th August) who came up with some classic pin-up and dance poses for our artists to work on. You can see some of the photos from our Launch Night on www.PartyInMyPaints.wordpress.com.

Classes are planned for the first Tuesday of each month starting in August and are open to amateurs and professionals alike. Tickets are £10 each (including art supplies) and should be bought from www.CrookedHouseAgency.com in advance as numbers may be limited.

We’re also looking for a variety of models with specific & unique talents to give our artists the chance to test their abilities – dancers, gymnasts, martial artists, street performers, etc. Check the websites for more information on how to get involved.
