Fewer commissioners for Port Erin?

by isleofman.com 30th July 2012

Port Erin Commissioners may be slimming down after the board meets tomorrow night.

Commissioner Tony Wright, who joined the board after April’s local authority elections, is suggesting the village has fewer elected representatives.

When the board meets at its offices in Bridson Street at 7pm tomorrow, he’ll move to cut the number of commissioners from nine to just seven.

However, his motion doesn’t set out any timescale for the cut, simply saying “at some future date”.
