No conflict of interests over preschools - Gawne

by isleofman.com 30th July 2012

The chairman of Mooinjer Veggey, which will be running preschool sessions in some Island schools from September, has hit back at critics over his involvement in the system.

Some had suggested Phil Gawne MHK had a conflict of interest as a member of government privatising nurseries and the chairman of a bidding organisation.

But he’s dismissed the concerns as “malicious gossip”.

He says his involvement with the charity and its preschool programme comes out of his concern for children’s welfare.
