Armed guards after new sheep attack

by isleofman.com 27th July 2012

A farmer says he’s arranged for armed guards to patrol his land after the third attack on sheep in ten days.

Alan Craine says the latest attack took place earlier this afternoon in a field at the Crossags where six other sheep have either been killed or injured by the same dog since last Wednesday.

In today’s incident, one animal was killed outright while another had to be destroyed by a vet.

Alan says he’s no choice but to shoot the dog – a black border collie cross – if it appears on his land again.
