The Courthouse Club was kept busy until late in the evening on Thursday 19th July, as over 100 eGaming professionals gathered for informal drinks and discussion at the Summer 2012 eClub party.
The popular networking event was sponsored by online payments company EntroPay, who decided to give their event a ‘summery twist’.
The eClub is a social meeting place for anyone interested in eGaming on the Island, which is held roughly once a quarter. Since being set up by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies in early 2011, it has become established as one of the major events on the local industry’s calendar. Operators, service providers and other key stakeholders were all to be found enjoying the summer themed cocktails and chill-out music provided at the July event. The eClub offers an excellent way to make new connections in and around the industry and veteran attendees will have noted the number of new faces on this occasion, which is testament to the fact that interest in the industry is growing across a variety of sectors.
EntroPay’s Head of Gaming, Ian Nicholson, commented on the event: “It was great to meet so many representatives from the eClub and suppliers which support the vibrant e-gaming industry on the IOM. It was an event well worth our time.”
Stephen Roberts, key account manager of EntroPay, who also attended, added: “It was a fantastic to meet everyone including the founders of e-club. We certainly hope to be back in the future to share how we, as an online payments provider, can assist in growing the industry further.”
The next eClub will be held at 6pm on Thursday 11th October, directly after the Department of Economic Development’s pre-EiG briefing. For regular updates and to get involved in the eClub, visit www.facebook.com/IsleofManeClub or join the group ‘Isle of Man eClub’ on LinkedIn.
