?50K in 5 days Challenge

by isleofman.com 26th July 2012

Preparations are underway for Barclays Isle of Man employees for the ‘?50k in 5 Days’ Challenge.

Inspired by Challenge 500, a Prince’s Trust scheme, staff across the UK islands and Glasgow will be taking part in a number of fund-raising activities to help raise ?25,000 for local charities, which will be matched pound for pound by Barclays.

The event takes place between the 6 – 10 August and the aim is for each team to raise as much as possible.

The team in the Isle of Man is aiming to contribute significantly to the fifty thousand pound target with the majority of funds raised to be donated to its Charity of the Year, Crossroads Care.

With just under two weeks to go until the event, the volunteers are busy planning and preparing for a wide range of events and activities including an in-branch triathlon, car wash, cake sale, auction and much more.
