A fairy tale fun day at Silverdale Glen

by isleofman.com 24th July 2012

Fairy tale characters will create a magical day out for youngsters at Silverdale Glen on Sunday August 19 as part of an event organised by The Children’s Centre. There will be lots and lots going on, from candy floss machines to bouncy castles and face painting and lots of your favourite fairytale characters. Youngsters can also turn up dressed as their favourite story book character and have a go at making their very own magic things. The Children’s Centre’s playwork team will be in the glen too, and there will be lots of games and activities going on throughout the day.

Susie Cox, Community Fundraiser at The Children’s Centre, said:

“Silverdale Glen is a magical location and the perfect place for our fairy tale fun day. It will be a great family day out and one that The Children’s Centre team will enjoy as much as the children! I look forward to seeing lots of youngsters come along to join in fun.”

The fairy tale fun day is on Sunday 19th August at Silverdale from noon until 4pm. Entrance is free although there will be a fee for some activities. Food will be available throughout the day, and there’s plenty of parking too.

All of the proceeds will go to help fund The Children’s Centre’s charitable projects including Out2Play which is currently delivering free play sessions across the Island For further information on the fun day and other events organised by The Children’s Centre contact Susie Cox on 676076 or visit the website www.thechildrenscentre.org.im/events/
