Velodrome funding is available, says IOM Sport chairman

The chairman of Isle of Man Sport says the funding for a cycling facility is available, however, not all of the cycling community want one.

Geoff Karran was responding to comments Team Isle of Man Microgaming Manager Gary Hinds made live on Mandate this morning.

He told John Moss it 'beggared belief' nothing was being done to build a velodrome, or something similar.

Mr Karran says Onchan Commissioners vetoed a plan to build one at Onchan Stadium, and there was also opposition when proposals for a facility in Braddan were put forward:
