New jobs website for the Isle of Man

An Island businesswoman has launched a new online job search site, with the aim of matching vacancies with those who could fill them .

It might appear as unwelcome competition for local recruitment agencies in tough economic times - but several have signed-up to display their job vacancies on Jobs4Uiom.com.

The woman behind the site Janet Sales says it's intended as a one-stop-shop for vacancies in a wide range of sectors, which people can browse at any time.

Registering is free, with a charge made to those advertising jobs.

Janet says their unique selling point is a commitment to networking all jobs across social media:
