A fisherman is recovering after being hurt in an incident at sea yesterday evening.
He was initially treated on-board by a paramedic winched onto the trawler by an RAF Sea King helicopter.
It was decided the man's injuries were such that lifting him off the vessel was not the best option, so he was brought to Peel on the boat with the winchman in attendance.
Members of Douglas Coastguard were initially asked to attend the helicopter landing site at Noble's Hospital, but were stood down once it was decided to bring him in by sea and road instead.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service was called out to help move the casualty from the boat to an ambulance, which transferred him to Noble's.
