Rio deal another step forward

The Island's already ahead of many of the countries who are signed up to the Rio Convention.

That's the claim of Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne following the recent news that the Island has now signed up to the convention on Bio Diversity - which was originally agreed by other signatories around the world in 1992.

Mr Gawne says the fact that the Island WASN'T a signatory was sending out the wrong signals.
