The Manx Hospitality Partnership is the latest organisation to become a Douglas Development Partnership corporate member.
Manx Hospitality Partnership chairman Theo Fleurbaay said: ‘The decision to become a corporate member was driven by the important role the hospitality industry has to play in the overall visitor experience in Douglas. We are also keen to contribute to the efforts Douglas Development Partnership is making to work with local traders and organisations to help bring a new sense of vitality to the town centre in parallel with the regeneration scheme for Douglas.’
Development manager Chris Pycroft said: ‘I am pleased to welcome the Manx Hospitality Partnership as our latest corporate member. Theo and his fellow members clearly share our belief in the importance of creating a welcoming environment and delivering high standards of service. These factors are equally as important as the physical regeneration of Douglas town centre and will help attract new business and investment, as well as greater numbers of leisure visitors.’
Mr Pycroft added that the corporate membership scheme offered a range of benefits. ‘It is a means through which organisations can demonstrate their commitment to the long-term development of Douglas and contribute to improving the town’s image. In so doing corporate members will be contributing to encouraging inward investment and helping secure the Island’s future economic prosperity.’
Corporate members receive a welcome pack and a glass membership plaque, and their company logo is featured on promotional material and the Partnership’s website. Member organisations also receive advance notice of any new town centre events and have the opportunity to become involved in team-building community projects.
