Cav critical of spectator after crash

by isleofman.com 20th July 2012

Mark Cavendish has hit out at a spectator who caused him to crash in the Tour de France yesterday.

Tweeting after he completed the final mountain stage he said, "Thanks to the d***head who crashed me at 3km to go today by waving his flag so it wrapped round my handlebars. Bike's broke (sic). Leg's swollen."

A few hours later he'd calmed down, and was looking forward to the last three stages.

Taking to his Twitter account again, the Manx Missile said, "No more mountains! No. More. Mountains. Only 400 flat(tish) kilometres left! And maybe some sprints. I hope. I can always hope."
