Chief Minister Allan Bell says taking control of our territorial waters within a twelve-mile boundary will bring benefits to the Island’s fishing industry.
An announcement on the twelve-mile limit is expected soon, after years of wrangling with neighbouring countries.
Mr Bell says extending our control from three to twelve miles will mean better measures can be brought in to protect fishing stocks – and the Manx fishing industry.
